On 4th of October 2018, The Dartmouth House, a Georgian house located in Mayfair-Central London was the location of a special networking event for Family Offices and High Net Worth Individuals on Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technologies. Mr. Steve Shi and Mr. Chris Dos Santos attended the event and shared their knowledge with investors and prospects deeply interested in immersing in this industry.

Different companies and consultancies attended the event ranging from very conservative firms such as Rockefeller Group and Virgin Group, to traditional consultancies and Law firms such as Accenture, and Baker & McKenzie LLP.
The event started off with a Blockchain corporate panel conformed by executives from Accenture, eBay, and R3. The panelists focused on enterprise solutions on the blockchain space and discussed the problems that Blockchain is trying to solve today and in the future.
Following that, the next session focused on Bitcoin and The Crypto Market as an alternative investment asset class. The panelists on this session were represented by Rockefeller Group, Branson Family Office & The Virgin Group, among others.
The SFO Panel, conformed by, from left to right Aylon Morley, Investment Director at Wentworth Hall; Rodrigo Jesus, Board Member SFO; Aditya Nagarsheth, Founder at Perpetual Partners; Guy Dietrich, Managing Director at Rockefeller; Alexandre Perrin, Investor overseeing Blockchain at the Virgin Group; Stephan Ott, Partner at Ott Capital Ventures; and Henry Monzon, Chief Revenue Officer at Bitfury Group.
Mr. Guy Dietrich, Managing Director at Rockefeller, said that he doesn’t see the value in any of the cryptocurrencies available today, including Bitcoin, however he feels that many investment opportunities will emerge from this technological revolution.
“Many years ago my father was at a house party in San Francisco where he met Steve Jobs, he asked my dad for capital to invest in Apple, which he politely declined”. Said Mr. Stephan Ott, Partner at Ott Capital Ventures, emphasizing that he is investing in Bitcoin even though he doesn’t believe much in the future of cryptocurrencies. “My future would look very different now if my dad had invested in Apple, so I am not going to let this opportunity go away”.
The audience asked the panelists about their favorite projects in the crypto space and they mentioned a couple of projects they find fascinating and are actively investing in, including Augur, Decentraland, and Project 0x.
Mr. Steve and Chris were asked by participants different questions on crypto currencies and commodities, specifically on how do you select an exchange to buy and trade among the 12,000 crypto exchanges. “The main things to look for is Thorough Security, Multi-platform Support, and Proof of Reserves among other things” said Chris Dos Santos, “and of course we offer that at CBX.one”
The event ended with a cocktail session and discussions regarding the future of crypto among the attendees until the close of the event.
